A marine scientist by qualification, an avid adventure seeker and a storyteller. She has 14 years of working experience in the education industry. She brings along 14 years of project management experience and at least 9 years in environmental education, event management and outdoor learning as well as project development and monitoring and evaluation.
Over these years, she has trained over 550 youths and schools’ students in the areas of sustainability and leadership as well as developed and conducted more than 50 conferences, workshops and field trips for children and adults. Along with 9 years’ experience in impact module designing and implementation.
During her early days of her career, she provided consultancies to various development projects and also led a team that monitors the water quality of the islands in Malaysia before starting her career with WWF-Malaysia. Her drive to develop children and youth to tap their limitless potential allowed her to see beyond their surficial abilities and to bring out the best in them.
With that drive and as the national operator for Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) for the FEE EcoCampus Programme (FEC), she founded and designed the Green Mentor programme for WWF-Malaysia’s FEC Programme where young environmental stewards were trained and developed through on the job training, community building and peer to peer learning among others. When she was in the role of national operator for the LEAF (Learning About Forest) programme, she kick-started and refined the Tiny Forest programme in Malaysia through Teacher Education Institutes of Malaysia as a protagonist for Malaysian schools.
Her three young boys are her inspiration in developing engaging and value-based activities that excite their young minds to think out of the box and develop positive learning abilities.
